Tansy ragwort growing in Yacolt

Posted

I liked The Reflector’s June 10 article about tansy ragwort. Someone needs to send it to the town of Yacolt. There is tansy at the baseball fields, along the railroad track and at the doggy and soccer park. There are thistles also.

I called them a couple months ago, but it doesn't appear that they have done their weed control yet.

Also, another complaint, bicycles should not be allowed on Kelly Road or on any curvy, hilly road with a double, no passing line. There are no shoulders on Kelly Road and those gravel trucks frequently go over the double lines.

It’s hard enough to pass a bicycle without going over the double line, but when the gravel truck is taking up a foot and the bicyclist is taking up 3 feet, there is no room for a car.

And it would be nice if bicyclists would remember to ride single file, especially when they have been hitting those wine tours. On one of those wine tours, they were taking up the entire north bound lane on the Heisson Bridge.

And just to be an equal complainer, the runners aren't any better. Last time there were runners on the road, they were taking up more than half of a lane, single file should be for both bikes and runners.
