Calculations point to surprise landing zone for D.B. Cooper

Posted

I have been investigating the D.B. Cooper story for over five years now. I’ve poured over documents, read books, talked to First Officer Rataczak on the phone, followed up his person of interest Jo Webber in Florida (DB’s wife), made several trips to the area, and even though close I’ve yet to find physical evidence. However, I recently decided to apply math and science to get closer to the Drop Zone.

After running the numbers over and over, I’m convinced without any doubt that the DZ of the FBI and others have been wrong. From Amboy to south of Brush Prairie, nothing has been found. Why? Because he didn’t land there. From using vector maps for pilots flying from SeaTac to Portland, which I received from a friend who was a commercial pilot for years, I overlayed them on a map of Washington and Oregon.

From there, using facts I calculated, the time the plane took off and was in the air when Cooper jumped and regardless of how many times I run the computations, it all points to a surprising landing zone.
