Adam C. Karlsen, 17, was identified as the driver killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred early the morning of May 15. Karlsen lived in La Center.
According to a news release from the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office, cause of death was blunt head trauma.
Deputies responded to the crash, reported just before 3 a.m. at Ward Road near Northeast Davis Road. Karlsen was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and was ejected and found dead at the scene, according to Clark County Sheriff’s officials. Karlsen did not appear to have been wearing a seatbelt.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
