BG area girl collecting items for Humane Society

Haley Phillips, daughter of Eileen Phillips who owns the Curves in Battle Ground, will be turning 21 on Feb. 9. To celebrate her birthday, she has decided she wants to collect items for the Humane Society for Southwest Washington.

Haley currently has a goal of 2,100 items and Eileen said they are about one-third of the way there. In order to help her achieve her goal, the Curves in Battle Ground, as well as Literay Leftovers in Battle Ground and two other Curves locations in Vancouver, are accepting pet donations until Feb. 9.

With a donation minimum of 21 pet items or $21, the sign up fee at Curves will be waived (regularly $99). One pound of dry pet food is equal to one item. For example, a 10-pound bag of dog/cat food equals 10 items. One pack of toys is equal to one item. For example, a three-pack of tennis balls is equal to one item.
