Community comes out to support slain Vancouver teen

Hundreds filled the United Church of Christ in Hazel Dell Dec. 20 to remember Nikki Kuhnhausen, a Clark County teen whose remains were discovered near Larch Mountain last month. Kuhnhausen is alleged to have been killed in June following her revealing to someone she was with, David Bogdanov, 25, that she was born biologically male.

Bogdanov is currently charged with second-degree murder in Clark County Superior Court in connection to Kuhnhausen’s death. He was scheduled for another appearance Jan. 2 as of press deadline.

The vigil was organized by the National Women’s Coalition Against Violence and Exploitation. Following are photos of the vigil, which had family, friends and community members coming out in support of Kuhnhausen.
