Small fire contained at Peacehealth Southwest

Shortly before 8 a.m. on Feb. 13 a small fire broke out in a supply room on the second floor of PeaceHealth Southwest's Memorial campus, 100 E. 33rd Main Street in Vancouver. The building houses the Urgent Care Clinic on the first floor and Behavioral Health Services on the second floor.

No patients or caregivers were harmed by the contained fire. Ten patients located on the second floor have been relocated to the first floor while the lingering smell of smoke is mitigated.

According to PeaceHealth, the cause of the fire was likely electrical. The investigation is ongoing.
