Career Days at Clark College offers job search and career advice

Posted

As the economy continues its slow recovery, many people are still searching for jobs.  To support their efforts, Clark College will host Career Days 2012 from April 23-26 at the college’s main campus.

The annual event has been expanded to four days of workshops, skills sessions and events designed to assist students and job seekers. Participants will find resources for career planning, tools and strategies for an effective job search, techniques to sharpen networking skills, and insights on how to get the education they need to meet their career goals.  Nearly 30 companies will participate in a job fair on April 25.  The college will host a transfer fair for current and prospective students on April 26.

“As one of the largest community colleges in Washington state and a leader in workforce training, we feel a special responsibility to support our students and the community,’’ Clark College President Robert K. Knight said. “Career Days allows us to provide opportunities for people to build their skills as they search for a new job or career.  They’ll also have the chance to make connections with industry leaders in our region.”

All events are free to students and members of the community.  No registration is required. Clark College is located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver. Driving directions and parking maps are available at www.clark.edu/maps.

Complete information about the event – including times and locations of the various events – is available at www.clark.edu/cc/careerdays.
