Body found is that of missing Amboy woman

A body discovered Feb. 19 on the bank of the North Fork Lewis River is that of an Amboy woman that was reported missing eight days earlier.

Lisa Ann McNair, 56, was reported missing by her family on Feb. 11. McNair had previously suffered multiple strokes according the a press release from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Woodland Police and members of Clark County Fire & Rescue responded to a report of a deceased adult on the river bank about 100 yards upstream from the bridge in downtown Woodland. The body was discovered and there were no signs of foul play associated with the death according to officials.



The death investigation was turned over to detectives with the Clark County Major Crimes Unit as part of an earlier investigation of a missing despondent female. The body was taken into the custody of the Cowlitz County Coroner.

The Cowlitz County Coroner identified the deceased as McNair. The cause and manner of McNair's death are pending although foul play is not suspected at this time. Family notifications were made.
