VANCOUVER – Area nonprofit organizations and businesses were honored on Sept. 8 at the Heathman Lodge at the Nonprofit Excellence Awards, sponsored by the Nonprofit Network Southwest Washington.


The evening reception was presented by PeaceHealth Southwest Foundation with additional sponsors Vancouver Energy, Riverview Community Bank, and Pacific Continental Bank.


The 2015 award winners are:


The Excellence in Volunteer Program Award – Battle Ground Health

Care Free Clinic for a volunteer program of less than 500 volunteers.   The Humane Society for Southwest Washington won for a volunteer program of less than 500 volunteers.


The Excellence in Collaboration Award – YouthBuild Vancouver.  This collaboration includes SWWA Workforce Development Council, Partners in Careers, Evergreen Habitat for Humanity, The award recognizes a successful collaboration between a nonprofit and another nonprofit, business, government or educational entity.


The Excellence in Impact Award – Clark County Habitat Store. The award honors a nonprofit, or one of its programs, whose performance and delivery to the community set a high standard of quality and outcomes.


The Excellence in Community Support Award – The Columbian.
