City of BG employees honored for outstanding service

Battle Ground City Manager John Williams and Chief of Police Bob Richardson recognized the outstanding service of city employees at the March 16 Battle Ground City Council meeting.

Court Supervisor Carol Landwehr was named the 2014 Employee of the Year by Williams. The award recognizes Landwehr’s outstanding service and commitment to excellence in the performance of her duties.

Landwehr began her tenure with the city of Battle Ground in 2003 as lead court clerk and was promoted in 2012 to court supervisor. Landwehr was among four city employees nominated for the award by their peers.



Richardson presented the 2014 Officer of the Year Award to Detective Philip Anderson who was selected to receive the award by his fellow officers. He joined the Battle Ground Police Department in 2006.

Prior to his most recent role as detective, Anderson served as a patrol officer, school resource officer and bicycle patrol officer. Anderson was commended for his exemplary service and commitment to the community reflecting the mission and values of the Battle Ground Police Department.
