Independence Day at Fort Vancouver entertainment lineup set

The Fort Vancouver National Trust has announced the Sing Fourth Teen Vocal Competition finalists, as well as the full lineup Vancouver Toyota Main Stage Performers at Independence Day at Fort Vancouver presented by Bank of America.

Entertainment begins at noon on Sat., July 4 on the Vancouver Toyota Main Stage, with the Sing Fourth Teen Vocal Competition presented by Davidson & Associates Insurance representing Pemco Insurance. The event is open to Clark County high school students. Auditions were held in May, and the 10 finalists who will compete are:

• Lauren Barton, Mountain View High School

• Kaleb Burris, Evergreen High School

• Isaac Dizon, Camas High School

• Mia Josberger, Cedar Tree Christian Classical School

• Danielle Lorange, Evergreen High School

• Tirza Meuljic, CAM Academy

• Bella Olsen, River HomeLink



• Becca Weinberg, Camas High School

• Hannah Wilson, Skyview High School

• Hannah Wrightson, Hockinson High School

• Grace Cunningham (alternate), Vancouver School of the Arts

• Samantha Dearing (alternate), Prairie High School

A panel of local musician judges, some of whom will perform on the main stage later in the evening, will select the winners. The first place winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the college of their choice and a first place trophy. Second place will take home a $500 college scholarship and third prize is a $250 college scholarship. Each of the three winners will receive a Beacock's Music gift card and all 10 finalists will be given a DVD of the Sing Fourth program.

Last year’s winner was Mikayla Merrell from CAM Academy, who performed “Morning Person’’ from Shrek The Musical.
