Two men fishing in North County last Saturday morning called 911 to report a dead body in the East fork of the Lewis River.

The body was extracted by the Clark County Major Crimes Unit and the Clark County Marine Patrol. The body, according to the report, was found approximately three quarters of a mile below Daybreak Park.

Responding officials found the body to be that of a male, but because of how long it had been in the water, a report said they were unable to make immediate identification and the body was sent to the County Medical Examiner’s Office in hopes of identifying the individual and determining cause of death.
