Vancouver Clinic breaks ground on new facility in Ridgefield

On June 14, physicians from the Vancouver Clinic gathered with local officials and guests in Ridgefield to officially break ground on a new 15,400-square-foot facility.

Opening in the summer of 2019, this new Ridgefield location will be able to host up to 10 doctors, 20 support staff, and offer both primary and urgent care. Nearby Vancouver Clinics in Battle Ground and Salmon Creek will continue to meet the needs of residents in North Clark County.

“Vancouver Clinic has been in Clark County for over 80 years, and is the largest independent medical group in the northwest,” said board chair Dr. Sharon Crowell in a news release. “As a mom, a clinic patient and a primary care doctor, I know that nobody wants to drive across town when they aren’t feeling well. That’s why we are bringing both urgent care and primary care services to Ridgefield.”

Anderson Construction is the general contractor, Day CPM is managing the project and ZGF is the architectural firm with MacKay-Sposito providing engineering services.

According to recent population estimates from U.S. Census data, Ridgefield is the fastest growing city in the state, with just over 13 percent growth from 2016 to 2017, which equates to a little more than 900 individuals.
