The Clark County Sheriff’s Office reported last week it has three suspects in an attempted murder case in Ridgefield.

The sheriff’s office announced Aug. 23 that their Tactical Detective’s Unit along with U.S. Marshalls had apprehended Eron Mendoza, 27, and Evan Ebeo, 32, at a Portland residence in connection with an Aug. 12 attempted murder. The two men join Jerrel Revette, 29, who was arrested following the service of several warrants at a Northeast 72nd Street Vancouver address Aug. 17 by sheriff’s deputies, U.S. Marshalls and a Ridgefield Police Department officer.

The arrests stem from a response by the Ridgefield Police Department early in the morning on Aug. 12, following a suspicious circumstance call at Clark County Fire & Rescue’s administrative building in the 900th block of 65th Avenue, according to a probable cause affidavit for Revette. There the responding officer encountered Justin Boespflug, 28, bloody and bruised. He said he had been robbed and beaten up by his friends, mentioning he was attacked with a knife.

According to the affidavit, Boespflug had been picked up by Revette in Vancouver around 1 a.m. Ebeo and Mendoza were in the back seat of the vehicle.

Revette drove to St. Mary’s Church in Ridgefield before Boespflug was attacked, allegedly by Ebeo, with a rope around his neck. Mendoza had a knife to Boespflug’s neck as well.

The ensuing attack had Boespflug in and out of consciousness as he struggled to escape, according to the affidavit, at points being hit by Revette with a “police style baton” and dodging the vehicle after Revette attempted to run Boespflug over before fleeing.

According to the affidavit, Boespflug made his way down 65th Avenue to the fire station. He banged on the doors of the department with no answer before the responding officer came to the location.

Boespflug said that the suspects stole his wallet, a knife, marijuana, keys, a BB gun, clothes and a notebook.

Around 2 p.m., Aug. 17, officers served the warrants at the Northeast 72nd Street location.

An hour and a half later Revette was read his Miranda rights, according to the affidavit.

Revette said that Boespflug had stolen from him earlier and that he, Ebeo and Mendoza planned to beat Boespflug up and leave him somewhere in retaliation.

According to the affidavit, on Aug. 17 service officers recovered some of the items Boespflug said were stolen.

All three have been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree robbery and unlawful imprisonment.
