Clark County Fair! Fair will offer Catch-A-Coupon for second year

Clark County Fair attendees can help support area charities and win prizes inside the Plexiglas phone booth in front of the Exhibition Hall during this year’s fair when they participate in the Catch-A-Coupon for Charity booth.

This is the second year the Catch-A-Coupon booth has been set up at the fair and Matt Ferris, marketing manager at the fair, said this activity was created in an effort to support very small nonprofit organizations.

“It allows nonprofits to put themselves out there,” Ferris said. “It also allows businesses to drive traffic to their location by offering up their coupons, and the nonprofit that works the booth that day gets to walk away with a little cash. The whole point is to support nonprofits.”

Fair goers who participate in the Catch-A-Coupon booth have a chance to catch a variety of coupons that are redeemable for gifts and prizes for a small donation. Each participant enters the booth with one hand tied behind their back while a large fan whips the coupons around.

Nonprofit organizations that had turns with the Catch-A-Coupon booth during the first few days of the fair included ROCKSOLID Community Teen Center, the Trey Foote Foundation, The Giving Closet, Dream Big Community Theater and Youth Efforts Against Hunger (YEAH). The following organizations will be working the booth during different specific days of the fair. Information about each organization is from the Clark County Fair website.
