Construction is complete of nearly $500,000 in upgrades at the City of La Center’s Holley Park. The city plans to hold a Grand Opening of the project on Wed., June 26 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in Holley Park located at 1000 E 4th Street, La Center.

Mayor Jim Irish stated, “With the addition of the skate path, splash pad and expanded playground area, Holley Park might very well be the most versatile park in the State of Washington and has something for everybody.”

Other amenities include baseball fields, soccer fields, rainy-day shed, tennis and basketball courts, paved walking paths, picnic tables, restrooms and Community Center.

“From beginning to end, the participation from the community, La Center City Council, city staff and contractors has played a very important role in making the improvements at Holley Park a success,’’ read a release issued by the City of La Center. “Local contractor, Colf Landscape Construction, worked hard to complete the project ahead of schedule.”

The City of La Center would like to invite the community to join us for ice cream sandwiches while we celebrate the new additions to our park.
