BG Schools approves $124.5 million budget

Battle Ground School Board members passed a $124.5 million budget Aug. 28, which officials say they were proud to balance using the Interest Based Negotiation (IBN) process and levy funds.



Greatest risk: bridge not big enough, says panel

An Independent Review Panel (IRP), directed by the governors of Washington and Oregon to ensure that key assumptions and methods used by the Columbia River Crossing (CRC) study group are reasonable, reported that “the greatest risk to the decision-making process is not over-sizing the bridges but not building enough capacity for the next 100 years.”



Open House Ministries offers support, hope

If it hadn’t been for Open House Ministries in Vancouver, members of the Hope family of Ridgefield don’t know where they would be today.

Open House Ministries began helping the homeless in 1985 when a group of people, who met for Bible studies in Esther Short Park in Vancouver, became increasingly aware of the homeless population.
