The Washington Trail Riders Association (WTRA) is a nonprofit organization committed to the preservation of trail riding and trails maintenance.

Their purpose is to promote the interests of trail riders and advance the maintenance of trail riding. The club has more than 50 members and their families, but the group is always looking to add more. They are encouraging people to come to the May 25 WTRA monthly meeting.

WTRA has members at all skill levels. They ride and go on work parties and social gatherings. Vice President Annmarie Erttolacci said most monthly meetings have local speakers that are part of the horse industry. Meetings last about an hour with food and beverages.

“Visitors are welcome to our monthly club meetings where members discuss local rides, camping trips, trail maintenance and horse-related events,” said Erttolacci. “Come join us.”

The meetings take place 7 p.m. on the fourth Thursday at the Clark County Saddle Club, located at 10505 NE 117th Ave., Vancouver. You can learn more about the group by visiting their Facebook page at Washington Trail Riders Association (WTRA).
