County seeks Development & Engineering Advisory Board members

The Board of County Councilors is seeking applicants to serve in five positions on the Development and Engineering Advisory Board (DEAB).

The advisory board reviews policy and code changes, and works with Community Development and Public Works on process improvements and fee issues.

The panel consists of nine members: three private-sector planners or engineers; one construction contractor; one government planner or engineer; one land developer; one Building Industry Association representative; and, two professionals associated with development. The volunteers’ diverse professional backgrounds provide a well-rounded perspective to identify areas needing improvement.

The vacant positions are for:

• One private-sector planner or consulting licensed professional engineer

• One professional associated with development work

• One government or public sector planner or engineer



•  One private sector planner or engineer

• One representative of the Building Industry Association

Each volunteer would serve a two-year term.

DEAB typically meets 2:30-4:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month in the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.

Anyone interested in serving should submit a letter of interest and resume to Jennifer Clark, Councilors’ Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000. Councilors will accept applications by email to jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov or fax to (360) 397-6058.

Application deadline is 5 p.m., Tue., Feb. 17.
