ROCKSOLID Teen Center gets a makeover

Posted

On Sat., Oct. 11, the Southwest Washington Contractors Association (SWCA) held a community service project at ROCKSOLID Community Teen Center.

ROCKSOLID, founded in 1998, was in need of a refresh and when Mike Nieto, owner of Catworks Construction, approached ROCKSOLID Executive Director Gilda Ciraulo it was easy to find a series of projects to complete.

Catworks Construction, partnering with Twice The Light, laborers from Madden Industrial Craftsmen, JWC Construction, Painting Specialists, several SWCA members and ROCKSOLID volunteers, worked together giving walls a fresh coat of paint, adding closet space and installing new desks, countertops and hooks for backpacks, as well as adding new lighting to brighten up the space.

A complimentary lunch was provided by long-time SWCA supporter Northwest Natural Gas.

The SWCA is looking for other community service projects in the future. For more information, contact Lisa Cartwright, executive assistant at SWCA, at (360) 694-7922. Contact Mike Nieto at Catworks Construction at (360) 666-113 or Gilda Ciraulo from ROCKSOLID at (360) 885-2181.
