Single Family Residential (SFR) permits and Residential Remodeling permits numbers gained on 2014 figures, once again.

In November, 87 SFR permits were issued in Clark County. This is a 26 percent increase over the 69 SFR permits issued in the same month last year.

Forty nine Residential Remodeling permits were issued in November, showing a 58 percent increase over the 31 permits issued in November of 2014.

“Even in our lighter building months, the building industry continues to make gains over 2014 numbers and we are closing the year out strong,” said Tracy Doriot, incoming president of the Building Industry Association of Clark County and owner of Doriot Construction.

“It is very rewarding to see the industry back on strong footing,’’ Doriot said. “As we look ahead to 2016 we are focused on working hand-in-hand with many other local entities to help address the labor shortage, supporting industry-friendly candidates for election, engaging in the housing affordability conversation here locally and staying on top of the GMA process to advocate for reasonable population growth figures and an adequate land supply.”

The Building Industry Association of Clark County is a nonprofit trade association representing the interests of all businesses involved with real estate, land development, homebuilding and construction.
