Angela’s Housekeeping Services available in North County

Yacolt resident Angela Tindall, owner and operator of Angela’s Polishing Pro Housekeeping Services, has worked for several different housekeeping companies. During that time, she started to feel more and more uneasy about the lack of respect shown for the clients’ homes, safety and privacy in a company with a large employee base.

“I know how I would feel about my keys being passed around to strangers (employees), many of whom were hired over the phone and hadn’t even passed a background check,” Tindall said. “While working for these companies I gained much experience through networking, contracting and hiring to managing the job sites for the company owners. I felt competent enough to start my own client base.”

So, in 2005, Tindall became licensed to clean homes on her own and started Angela’s Polishing Pro Housekeeping Services. Tindall offers anything from general residential housecleaning to move in/out cleanings and small commercial buildings.

“My favorite kind of jobs are the really nasty ones because I feel so good after I am done and can see the fresh clean result at the end of my hard work,” Tindall said. “I like the feeling that I receive from a job well done. I love knowing I made a difference for someone and their family.”

Being a mother and wife herself, Tindall said she is family-oriented and knows how important it is to be able to trust the person coming into your home.

“I know sometimes life gets messy and I am not a person to judge that sticky stuff on the bathroom wall or the cemented oatmeal in the fridge,” she said.

Tindall cleans an average of five to eight homes each week and said that she generally uses her own cleaning supplies, with the exception of asking customers to provide their own vacuum cleaner.

“Some folks have allergies, etc. and dragging a vacuum cleaner from one house to another is a good way to spread allergens,” Tindall explains.

Tindall said she does 98 percent of the jobs she gets herself, but she does occasionally work with another trusted sub contractor for larger jobs or those on a deadline. This is to ensure a customer’s timeline is met if necessary.

Tindall’s rates range from $18 to $30 an hour depending on the severity of the job. She said she understands that housekeeping is a luxury that not everyone can afford, so she does offer discounts to the elderly and/or disabled, and she is always open to a flat rate to keep everyone on budget.

One of the things Tindall said her clients love about her service is that she sends a reminder text the day before a client’s scheduled cleaning. She said her clients also appreciate knowing their home is safe, private and secure, and that the job will be completed to a professional standard every time.

“I ‘blame’ my chosen profession on my late grandfather, Dick Atchison,” Tindall said. “While growing up he told me to always leave the bathroom looking better than when I walked in and it stuck with me. I even find myself straightening the towels and putting a new roll on the TP dispenser even in a public restroom. I just tell people that I clean houses because I am good at it, can make a decent wage and it gives me the flexibility necessary to keep my other job as a mommy and wife.”

Tindall keeps her jobs mostly in the North Clark County area since she resides in the area, but she does have a few long-time clients who happen to live on the outskirts. Tindall can be reached at (360) 624-0832 or visit her Facebook page, Angela’s Polishing Pro Housekeeping Services.
