Battle Ground United Methodist Church to hold Fourth Annual Gospel Fest

The Battle Ground United Methodist Church will host the Fourth Annual Gospel Fest Sat., Sept. 28, 4 p.m., at the church, 10300 NE 199th St., Battle Ground. Doors will open at 3:15 p.m. for this free event.

This year’s featured artists include Mac Potts, a 21-year-old blind pianist who has been playing professionally since the age of 11. Other artists include the Battle Ground High School Jazz Choir,  Classic Gospel Sons, and a Southern Gospel Quartet made up of Terry Vanderstoep (tenor), Stan Kirschenmann (baritone), Don Smith (lead), Jerry Watson (bass) and Bobbi Kay Kirschenmann (keyboards and vocal). The AME Zion Choir, from the Community African Methodist Episcopal Church in Vancouver, will also perform.



During the event, there will also be a silent auction of gift items donated by area businesses and individuals. Money earned during this event will be used for the church’s outreach to the community, which includes the North County Community Food Bank and support to needy families during the holiday season.
