Battle Ground Public Schools is bringing nutritious meals to those aged 1 to 18 this summer through its Simplified Summer Food Program (SSFP). Children do not have to be enrolled in BGPS to participate in the program.

Funded through a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture, SSFP will provide lunches at two locations in Battle Ground:

• From now through Aug. 16 lunch will be served at Kiwanis Park (422 SW Second Ave.) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (no lunch will be served July 4).

• From July 22 to Aug. 18, lunch will be served at the Maple Grove Cafeteria Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
