Clark College Choral and Band concert to be held Dec. 6

The Clark College Concert Choir under the direction of April Duvic and Concert Band under the direction of Richard Inouye, will present their Fall Concert Celestial Light Fri., Dec. 6, 7:30 p.m. in the Royal Durst Theatre, Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, 3101 Main St., Vancouver.

The Concert Choir opens the luminescent celebration of sound with J.S. Bach’s Break forth, O beauteous, heavenly light and Gretchaninoff’s Holy, Radiant Light

The Men of Concert Choir will sing the traditional Spanish Carol La Virgen lava pañales with soloist Grace Skinner. The Choir is honored to premier Clark College alumni and local composer Brandon Stewart’s luminous and moving Bogoroditse Devo. 



The Concert Choir will close their portion of the program joined by the Clark College Women’s Choral Ensemble on Hope for Resolution by Caldwell and Ivory. Highlights of the Concert Band’s celestial offerings include a contemporary composition for wind band by composer Richard Saucedo entitled, Shooting Stars, and the classic composition from the band repertoire, An Original Suite, by English composer, Gordon Jacob.
