STAGE MAKEUP WORKSHOP: This is part two of a Stage Makeup and Costuming series. Attend one or all in the series. This workshop is perfect for creating an old age or extreme old age version of yourself and your friends using highlights, shadows, and latex and tissue techniques. This workshop is perfect for creating a “extreme old age” look for parties, video shoots, role play games and costume competitions that are surely coming up this fall. Class is Oct. 10, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Old Lewisville Middle School, cost is $30, ages 12 and up. GLASS MOSAIC CLASS and workshop: New session for adults starts Oct. 19. Class meets from 6:30-9 p.m., at Lewisville Middle School, four sessions, cost $60 plus $50 materials fee (payable to instructor on first day of class). Learn to make beautiful glass mosaic crafts for inside and outside your home. You will work on pumpkin trivets for the first two weeks and the last two weeks the student can work on whatever they choose. Materials are provided except for the student’s chosen item. FIRST AID AND CPR TRAINING: The goal of this training is to help students gain the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to manage a medical emergency until more advanced help is available. This course will cover adult/child/infant CPR, AED and Basic Emergency First Aid such as choking, control of bleeding and managing shock. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a certification card that is valid for two years. Class is Oct. 22 at the Lewisville Campus, 6-9 p.m., cost is $49. YOGA CLASSES: Benefits of yoga include stress reduction, increased muscle tone, increased flexibility, improved strength and endurance, and fuller, easier breathing. Yoga Foundations-Beginner begins Thu., Oct. 8, 10-11 a.m. Yoga-All Levels has a morning and after class starting Oct. 19, 9-10 a.m. and 6-7 p.m. All classes are four sessions, cost is $25 and they take place at the Battle Ground Community Center. Fundraisers

WOODLAND BURGERVILLE is holding a fundraiser for the Woodland YMCA Fri., Oct. 2, 5:30-6:30 p.m., at Woodland High School, 1500 Dike Access Rd., Woodland. It will be held before the Woodland High School homecoming game. Enjoy a pregame meal and learn all that you’d like to know about the project.
