Clark College music faculty recital

The Clark College Music Department performs in a Faculty Recital on Sat., May 10, 3 p.m. in the Penguin Union Building, Room 161, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver.

The recital is free and open to the public but donations will be accepted for the Music Lesson Scholarship Fund.

The Clark College Music Faculty recital showcases the broad depth of musical talent currently teaching in the department. Performers include Department Chair Dr. Donald Appert, Choral Director April Duvic and adjunct instructors Linda Appert (mezzo), Bill Athens (jazz bass), Liz Byrd (cello), Dr. Kathy Charles (piano), Dr. Ann Crandall (bassoon), Richard Gellman (clarinet), Sue Inouye (flute), James Manuele (classical guitar), Vila Moreland (piano), and Eva Richey (violin). The recital program is an eclectic mix of Mozart, Massenet, Claude Bolling, and Ernesto Cordero as well as works composed by Dr. Appert and Vancouver favorite Matt Doran.



The goal of the event is to raise $7,200 to help fund 10 Clark College students with applied music lessons in the 2014-2015 school year.
