North Clark County students excel at high school art show

Posted

Student artists all throughout Southwest Washington are being honored at the 2017 Southwest Washington Regional High School Art Show now through April 7.

The show is sponsored by the Educational Service District 112.

278 entries were made this year.

In a statement, ESD 112 said “the art show is one of the few opportunities for area art students to receive recognition and exposure for their work.”

Twenty pieces will be chosen for Regional Awards and to compete in the Annual State Superintendent of Public Instruction Art Show in Olympia in April.

Furthermore, a number of student artists earned scholarship awards from Central Washington University and the Oregon College of Art and Craft.

Here’s a look at how North Clark County students fared, including their school and the name of their piece.
