“Afognak Bear” is last year’s first place winner in Oil by Ruth Schmit at the Annual Spring Show and Sale.
“By the Light of the 15th Street Glow” is last year’s winner Best of Show in Oil by Hilarie Couture at the Annual Spring Show and Sale.
The Society of Washington Artists is inviting all artists to enter the 2017 Annual Spring Show and Sale.
All artists 18 or older with original art in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, pencil, ink, charcoal, graphite, mixed media and 3D are eligible. No photography, jewelry or furniture will be accepted.
Artwork must be submitted between 5 and 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, at Vancouver Water Resource Center Community Room, 4600 SE Columbia Way, Vancouver. Artists may submit up to three pieces.
Entry fees are as follows: Members — $15 first entry; $10 each additional entry; nonmembers — $25 first entry; $10 each additional entry.
This show will be professionally judged with significant cash awards given for Best of Show, and first, second and third places in each category. The public will vote on a People’s Choice Award.
