Area residents will have an opportunity to turn their spoils into soil with a Master Composter/Recycler Backyard Composting Workshop.
The free workshop will take place on Sat., May 9 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Center for Agriculture, Science, and Environmental Education (CASEE), 11104, NE 149th St., Brush Prairie.
Those who want to begin composting their yard and some of their kitchen waste, will learn how to build soil health in their own backyard by joining the introduction to the science of composting and viewing a composting demonstration site to see composting bins and systems in action.
