Lewis River Rotary plans to award 11 $2,000 scholarships

Eleven 2018 graduates of Hockinson and Battle Ground school districts have the opportunity to land a $2,000 scholarship from the Lewis River Rotary. 

The scholarships can go to either trade schools or colleges. Homeschoolers or graduates of Columbia Adventist Academy can also apply if they live within the two districts. Applicants can not be a child of a Lewis River Rotarian. Applications must be submitted by April 15.  

Applications can be found at lewisriverrotary.org, and most of the schools’ counselors can provide them as well. The application, a high school transcript, an essay and two letters of recommendation are required. Details on essay requirements can be found on the application. Applicants picked as finalists may be interviewed by the Lewis River Rotary team. Scholarship recipients will be notified by June 1. 



Applications must be submitted to a school counselor or sent directly to Rotary, addressed with the following: Lewis River Rotary Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 1498, Battle Ground, WA 98604.
