The Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce is asking the Battle Ground and Hockinson community to help them find worthy individuals and entities for their 2017 Recognitions of the Year awards.

Lifetime Achievement Award
• Significant community contributions over many years
• Community service over many years
• A long history of volunteerism, and
• Leadership, primarily in Battle Ground
Citizen of the Year
• Community service
• Volunteerism, and
• Leadership, primarily in Battle Ground
Outstanding Youth of the Year
• 18 years and under
• Community service
• Volunteerism, and leadership, primarily in Battle Ground
Business Person of the Year
• Own or operate a business in the 98604 zip code
• Be a member of the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce
Selection for Business Person of the Year is based on, but not limited to:
• Appearance
• Promotion
• Involvement in business or professional organizations
• Recent expansion, remodeling or construction
• Respect for other business people
• Work on projects that benefit other businesses
• Customer service practices
Business of the Year
• A business operating in the 98604 zip code
• Be a member of the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce
• Contributed to our local economy in a significant way (i.e., brought non-traditional revenue into Battle Ground with projects, products or visitors)
Teacher of the Year
• Teach in any school within the Battle Ground and Hockinson school districts
• Shown exemplary care and skills in performing the job of teaching
• Share his/her philosophy and what he/she expects of students
Coach of the Year
• Coach in any school or organization within the Battle Ground community
• Shown exemplary care and skills in performing the job of coaching students
• Share his/her philosophy and what he/she expects of the athletes
Service Person
of the Year
• Perform their service job within the city of Battle Ground
• Be a Member of the military, Battle Ground Police Department or Fire District No. 3
