Ridgefield First Saturday: ‘Lazy Dayz’

Posted

Grab a warm blanket and pillow to get comfortable as the city of Ridgefield hosts a family friendly movie marathon in the Ridgefield Administrative and Civic Center, located at 510 Pioneer St., for its First Saturday celebration on Saturday, Jan. 4.

From 9 to 10 a.m., breakfast lovers can grab a waffle with maple syrup and other snacks at the waffle bar in the commons. At 10 a.m., the commons will be turned into a living room theater to show “Eight Below,” a 2006 movie set in wilderness of Antarctica. At noon, people can grab their favorite snacks to enjoy while watching the 2001 classic, “Shrek.” Just before “Shrek” at 11:30 a.m., kids in the room will get the opportunity to be in a pajama contest. Along with the double feature, families will be able to enjoy fun kids crafts at the Ridgefield Community Library all day long.
