Battle Ground’s CrossWay Church will host a free concert on Thu., Sept. 10, 7-8:30 p.m.
Midwestern-raised, New York singer/songwriter and pianist Rachel Zylstra will perform the concert. Zylstra has drawn comparisons to Ben Folds, Nora Jones and Tori Amos.
Zylstra left the Big Apple this summer in order to pursue music full-time on the road across the U.S. Zylstra is described as a confessional songwriter and performer whose music finds a home in church sanctuaries and in dimly-lit music bars alike. She has self-released three albums and opened for favorites including Over the Rhine and David Bazan.
