Meals on Wheels People hold annual flower sale

Area residents can purchase a pot of tulip bulbs or a color bowl and help feed homebound seniors in the Camas-Washougal area.

Meals on Wheels People Washougal Center will sell six-inch pots of tulip bulbs for $15 and color bowls for $25. Each buyer will receive a variety of Holland tulip bulbs just beginning to bloom in a six-inch pot or colorful mixed flowers in a 14-inch pot. All proceeds will help provide hot meals to homebound seniors who receive Meals on Wheels in the Camas-Washougal area.

Flowers may be ordered in advance online at www.mealsonwheelspeople.org, or by calling the Washougal Center at (360) 210-5666. Flowers can be picked up on Fri., May 9, at the Washougal Community Center, 1681 C Street, or on Sat., May 10, at the Camas Flower Sale in downtown Camas.



For an additional $5, flowers will be delivered to your door. Plants are provided by DeGoede Bulb Farm.

Since 1970 the Meals on Wheels People has provided a nutritional and social lifeline for seniors through 34 meal sites in Multnomah, Washington and Clark counties and Meals on Wheels delivery to homebound seniors.
