Ridgefield winery wins national medals

Earlier this year Gougér Cellars out of Ridgefield won three awards for the wines it submitted to the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest in the United States. 

Gougér Cellars has been racking up awards since Enologist (winemaker) Gary Gougér opened it in 2009, converting an old Ridgefield fire station.

Medals won  

• Best of Class: Chapter 2 in the category of “Red Blend: Petite Sirah leading blend.” 



• Gold: Sangiovese in the category of “Sangiovese - $30.00 and above.”

• Bronze: Syrah in the category of “Syrah/Shiraz - $41.00 and above.”
