Furry Friends to participate in ‘GIVE MORE 24!’

Posted

On Thursday, Sept. 22, for a total of 24 hours you can help Furry Friends raise the funds it need for the cats in their care that suffer from serious medical conditions.

Furry Friends is a nonprofit, all volunteer, no kill, cat adoption organization in Vancouver. Its mission is to help homeless, relinquished and abused cats by providing spaying and neutering, medical care and foster shelter for as long as it takes to find their forever home.

This online challenge, hosted by the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington, is especially personal for as funds raised go directly into the Connie’s Care Fund, which was established in 2013 in tribute to Connie Miller, a passionate cat lover and dedicated Furry Friends volunteer.

The fund covers vetting costs for the expenses of unexpected procedures and emergency surgeries, as well as ongoing treatments and lifelong medications. As a no-kill, non-profit organization, Furry Friends is committed to providing the best possible care to the ailing, abused and abandoned cats before they’re able to be placed in the best possible adoptive homes.

“Give More 24!” will launch at midnight on Thursday, Sept. 22, and will last until the stroke of midnight. To make a tax-deductible donation count, make it through www.give-more-24.org during that time period only. Visit Furry Friends directly at www.give-more-24.org/designee/furry-friends.
