Local business Remarkabowl scores with red carpet product launch at Sports Emmy Awards

Representatives from Vancouver-based Remarkabowl recently announced that their new line of Sportsbowls were to be featured in the official gift bags at this year’s 35th Annual Sports Emmy Awards on May 6, in New York City.

The gift bags will include a Remarkabowl Special Edition Emmy Awards Logo Bowl and will be presented to all 900 attendees at the event, which is made up of the most influential people in sports, broadcasting, celebrities, athletes, and members of the press.

With Remarkabowl’s first product launch scheduled just weeks after the event, owners John Wirth Jr., Dan Jordan and Alan Cheung felt honored that they were approached by the producer of the official Emmy Awards gift bags and asked to participate in the event. The Emmy Awards gift bag producer seeks out new, up-and-coming businesses to feature, particularly those with fun or innovative products. Only 30 companies from around the world are granted participation.

“We feel fortunate we were able to capture their attention and excited about the timing of the event,” said Jordan, company ice president of operations.



“This is an excellent opportunity for us as a startup company, it further validates our belief that we have a desirable and attractive product line,” said Remarkabowl president and CEO, John Wirth Jr.     

Remarkabowl is a manufacturer and distributor of sports-themed bowls for sports fans, kids and pets as well as sports-themed plates for babies and toddlers. The company began operations in November of last year in Portland, nd has since expanded its business facilities to Vancouver and increased distribution capabilities to meet the requirements of major retailers. Remarkabowl has three separate product lines they will market directly to retailers in the pet, babies/kids and sports/team licensed products markets.

The Sports Emmy Awards are produced by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and were to be held at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s prestigious Frederick P. Rose Hall.
