The Pacific Northwest's homage the the luscious dance bands of a bygone era launches into its fourth year of producing dances every month at The Village Ballroom. The 11 piece ensemble painstakingly recreates the sounds of the large society dance bands that were so prominent in the 1920's and 30's that could be found performing on ocean liners and in the grand ballrooms of Art Deco America. Fronted by Sammuel Murry-Hawkins, band leader and vocalist, the ensemble frequently presents guest musicians representing the region's top jazz talent.

The ensemble performs every third Friday at the historic Village Ballroom, 704 NE Dekum St.

$10 general. $5 Arts For All. $8 in advance by calling 360-989-6517. Kids 16 and under free with adult.
