Battle Ground city officials have confirmed that a Pizza Hut store will open in Battle Ground. The Pizza Hut will be located in the western portion of the Albertsons shopping center complex, known as Battle Ground Marketplace.
The new Pizza Hut will open in a space that is currently vacant in the complex, which was previously a fish and chips restaurant.
Sam Crummett, community development planning supervisor, said city officials do not know specifically when the Pizza Hut will open for business.
“They have submitted for a city business license along with tenant improvement plans,” Crummett said. “Based on the submitted plans, this would not be a sit-down restaurant, but take out (and delivery) only. The building review time on this would be approximately two weeks.”
Phone calls and emails to Pizza Hut officials were not returned by The Reflector's deadline.
