Yamashita promoted to survey manager

Otak, Inc., an international award-winning engineering, architecture, urban design, and planning  firm, recently announced that Jon Yamashita has been promoted to survey manager.

Yamashita joined Otak earlier this year as a project surveyor, and in his new position he will oversee Otak’s survey staff, firm wide. Yamashita has worked in the land surveying field for over 20 years, and he had served as director of surveying at his previous firm. He will share his time between Otak’s Portland and Vancouver offices.

Yamashita earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Portland State University and his Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from Clark Community College. He serves on the Clark County Railroad Advisory Board, and he has served on the Vancouver City Manager’s Business Leadership Advisory Council, Clark County Employment Zone Code Task Force, and the Leadership Clark County Board of Directors where he served as Chair of the Board from 2007-2010.



Yamashita, and Otak, is currently working with the City of Battle Ground on a project to widen SW 20th Ave., including new sidewalks.
