This fall, West Coast Training celebrates 55 years of continuous operation as a leading training center for heavy equipment operation.

During this period of time, West Coast has trained and graduated thousands of men and women from all around the country. The heavy equipment training school has found well-paying jobs for its graduates in highway and bridge construction, commercial and residential construction, heavy industry, mining and transportation.

Over the past 55 years, West Coast Training has built a reputation for excellence. Its programs are nationally accredited and are taught by Certified Master Craft Instructors. West Coast’s 33-acre training site on the Columbia River outside Woodland accommodates over four dozen bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, graders, front loaders, scrapers, as well as mobile cranes of every description. But, the really important ingredient that makes this a great school is the people.

“We’re proud of our graduates and instructors, they’re the source of our reputation in the industry,” Owner Jeff Woolever said. “We keep everyone focused on building skills and operating safely. Employers value the difference our training makes.”

West Coast Training staff members invite interested individuals to join them for a Open House, on Sat., Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. For more information, contact the school at (360) 225-6787.
