Accounting firm celebrates 50 years of business

Back in 1962, Vern Peterson set out to provide world-class accounting services in Clark County. Half a century later, Peterson & Associates has served generations of clients and continues to grow. The firm will celebrate this accomplishment, alongside their clients and community partners, on Tues., Sept. 25 at Bethany Vineyard and Winery in Ridgefield.

The firm contributes to scores of local organizations like the Clark College Foundation, Clark County Food Bank, Rotary and the Free Clinic of SW Washington, something Peterson & Associates President Patricia Eby sees as a way to give back to those who’ve helped build their business over the years.

“We are passionate about donating time, energy and financial support to organizations and charities here in Clark County and beyond,” said Eby. “This is a priority for all of our team members and it’s our privilege to help those in need.”

A majority of the firm’s financial services clients are local businesses and entrepreneurs, which team member and C.P.A. Scott Salsbery says is their bread-and-butter.

“We really know how to help small and local business because we’re small and local too. We’ve walked in their shoes and we know their challenges,” Salsbery said.

Bethany Vineyard and Winery is located at 4115 NE 259th St. in Ridgefield. To inquire about Peterson & Associates’ history or services, call (360) 574-0644, or email Peggy Foxworthy at peggy@vancouvercpa.com.
