Q&A with Seth Workman, senior quarterback for the Battle Ground Tigers

Posted

What is your favorite food?

Lasagna. I just love everything about it and how it all comes together perfectly.

 Favorite movie?

The Longest Yard. I just like the story behind it. It has a good meaning. It’s a true story, too.

 Favorite football player?

Steve Young. I’ve always been a 49ers fan. He’s left handed, I’m left handed.

What is it about football that you really enjoy?

I just like the camaraderie with the team. Everyone comes together. I like being a quarterback a lot. I like being able to lead the team. A lot of it is trusting your teammates, knowing they will be where you need them to be. A lot of practice. A lot of study after hours.

Definition of a Battle Ground Tiger?

Toughness at the top. A lot of effort. We’re all putting in full energy. Giving all you got until the last drop and leaving it all out on the field.

What will separate you from the rest of the teams?

Just the work that we’ve put in throughout the offseason. A lot of it. We’re willing to put in effort and try hard.

Plans for life after high school?

Going to college for a few years and see where that takes me. Right now, it’s Clark College and transfer to Washington State University Vancouver.

How will playing football get you there?

It helps me mature. It really molds me into the person I am. It builds character, a lot of character.
